Buttermilk Syrup

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 TB Light Karo Corn Syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
Combine ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and then add 1/2 tsp. baking soda. Cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
(I usually double the recipe, but not the soda as it bubbles up a lot.)


Marci's note: When I made this for the reunion I am pretty sure I did 4x this recipe and we did have some left over.
